This little analysis and its NaLu version were supposed to be one single post. But, I decided to divde them for there’s a lot to cover, and doing things this way makes it easier to shorten the content With that out of the way, let us begin! As explained in the other analysis, when a story develops a bond organically, “saving the girl” doesn’t mean she owes her savior a relationship. True chemistry doesn’t occur because of favors done. That’s like a basic unspoken rule Going from “saving the girl” to “impregnating the girl” without proper development, or meaningful and engaging momen

There’s a point that the LuNa/NaLu blog had been trying to make abundantly clear for a while… When it comes to bonds that develop organically, “saving the girl” doesn’t mean she owes her savior a relationship. True chemistry doesn’t occur because of favors done. A well-written relationship is nourished by engaging and meaningful moments that allow the characters to strengthen the bonds that unite them. However, a “romantic rescue” is, in fact, a story-telling tool. But not every “rescue” scene has romantic undertones. And jumping from “you saved me” to “I want your

Many NaLu fans already pointed out some details such as Natsu burning guys who flirted with Lucy, or Lucy having Natsu rest on her lap. However, there was a detail that may remind some of a few analyses done in this blog… Juvia, as usual, calls Lucy her “love rival.” While such a gag is meant to make readers laugh, many shippers take Juvia’s words seriously. Needless to say, last chapter shows why such a mindset is not consistent with the story or the characters. However, the bit that I will highlight is Lucy’s response to Juvia’s claim. The way she reacted is identical to her response during the GMG. Juvi

duuuude long time no talk hahaha, broo I literally just had this debate with a guy again about dr strange vs dr fate, one of my replies to him was “the helmet of Nabu can endager all of creation that alone makes him multiverse” he fucking said “dude that’s Nabu not Dr.Fate”

after saying that I stopped debating and just blocked him and deleted the comment, I lost so much brain cells after that.

hey man long time no see, what do you think of fairy tail 100 years quest by the way
So far it's an average story... Latest chapter was awesome! :la:
Hey, it's been a long time. I wanted to share an old, forgotten argument against SaNa to someone. And I know you're the best person for that. I've been watching some clips from the Punk Hazard arc, which I usually avoid because I hate the part where Sanji is in Nami's body. But I endured it today and there is part that shows how ridiculous it would be for this ship to be canon!

There is that scene where Sanji and Brook decided to go look for Kinemon's torso together. They started to run and Brook asked Sanji to show Nami's panties later. And Sanji told him to get the camera ready. This part CLEARLY shows how disgusting this ship would be if it were to be canon. Sanji has no problem with showing her body to others if he gets to see it himself. This is very consistent with the recent chapter since he didn't kick or got angry at any of the men who saw her naked. And Nami should know at least from that time in Punk Hazard how much of an hypocrite pervert he is. The idea of her falling for him is completely ridiculous and nonsense. Sanji has no real respect for women. His respect and chivalry are shallow because he took Zeff as an example. But someone who really respect women wouldn't try to peep on them. And someone who really respect women wouldn't treat their body like objects.

By the way, I said his chivalry is also shallow because he never look at the bigger picture. Like the time where he refused to fight Kalifa. This is one of the reasons why I don't like Sanji. He said he'd rather die than kick a woman, but he forgot about Robin there. He put his "chivalry" above his mission to save a woman in distress. That's like putting the cart before the horse. Robin could have been taken past the gates and he would have no one but himself to blame (though I feel like he'd still blame the others if that happened). If Nami was in a death battle with a pretty woman, he'd do the exact same thing.
Wow! Long time no see! It's good to know you're still around :)

While I don't mind people using such displays of extreme pervyness and objectification of women as arguments, I prefer to focus on something else...

How does Nami reacts to all of this? One thing I said when defending LuNa before is how Luffy's quirks don't stop Nami from bonding with him

Instead of describing how flawed a character is, we could explain how those flaws impact the relationships in question. E.g. one of the latest chapter had Nami stating Sanji is not very reliable, words backed up by her own actions

Who does Nami choose to rely on the most despite his quirks or flaws? If we base our premise in the manga, and the author's works, we know it's Luffy

But, to support that conclusion we would need to put things into perspective by factoring how Nami reacts to each character, as well as who does she end up trusting the most, and who does she feel more attached to

The intensity and style of the emotional attachment are a reflection of how people may behave when their bond grows stronger
It's quite noble of you to not attack Sanji's character to defend LuNa. But the only reason I'm stooping so low is because I know that there will be little to no progress between Luffy and Nami for a long time. I can't imagine any progress being made in the Wano arc. On the other hand, part of the fandom already assume that Sanji and Nami is going to be a thing. And I absolutely can't stand that idea. As I said, it's nonsense and disgusts me when I think of how Sanji is outside of the Whole Cake arc. Which is why I wanted to share that argument. But if there is no need for that, you can just forget it.
I don't how to answer to that compliment... Thanks

Yeah! The best we can hope to get, for now, are only a few LuNa crumbs... So, it's hard to imagine any development occurring in this arc unless Oda decides to surprise us

As for the other reason. Welcome to the club  shippers, specially those who promote the shallow perspective we have to constantly refute, are so annoying! But, to fight off this trend we can use other arguments highlighting the core of the character they worship, which means we could point out the proofs of his delusions (him "loving" every beautiful woman, and believing all women "love" him)

As you pointed out, his behavior in this regard, after WCI, is something gross. But, fortunately the consistency of such trait ultimately benefits us. Think about what Sanji did during the Reverie "arc," we can use reason and logic without attacking a character. All we need is to describe what the story conveys :D
